Inactive ones are bloodguilty?
by dissonance_resolved ini've been thinking about brother morris' statement at the zone meeting this past weekend that inactive ones are bloodguilty.
bloodguilt is defined as "guilty of murder or manslaughter.
" murder is #1 on the list of disfellowshipping offenses- all they would have to do is change the wording from "murder" to "bloodguilt" and suddenly there you have grounds to disfellowship anyone who's inactive.

November 2015 article- "Boxers or Briefs? The Biblical position on girding your loins"
by Separation of Powers inthere is no room for self-expression in a cult.
this weekend's condemnation fest proved that.
looking forward to the november 2015 article, "boxers or briefs?

There is no room for self-expression in a cult. None. This weekend's condemnation fest proved that. Looking forward to the November 2015 article, "Boxers or Briefs? The Biblical position on girding your loins" It should be quite enjoyable....

Over 1,000,000 in attendance and you are worried about tight pants?
by Separation of Powers inyou know, rarely in the history of the org has a group this large congregated to hear from "mother.
" they incessantly speak of the huge group that met at yankee stadium in 1958...the over 250,000 that congregated to be instructed by jehovah.
but over the weekend, there were over 1,000,000 people excited to hear some type of direction, some type of encouragement, something to help them hang on "just a little longer.".

Separation of Powers
You know, rarely in the history of the ORG has a group this large congregated to hear from "mother." They incessantly speak of the HUGE group that met at Yankee stadium in 1958...the over 250,000 that congregated to be instructed by JEHOVAH. But over the weekend, there were over 1,000,000 people excited to hear some type of direction, some type of encouragement, something to help them hang on "just a little longer."
Most of the meeting was the typical Zone overseer drivel, "good job bethelites" "get to your work assignment on time bethelites" "its good to be a bethelite" and all that. But, there was one talk designed exclusively for the "visitor" the non-bethelite. One chance to reach out to the R&F and "lift them up."
But, what did we get? Metrosexual bashing, Tight pant condemnation, Too Colorful Sock rejection, vampire movies, and my personal favorite....No Spanxx! Really?
Are you kidding me here?
First off....the whole metrosexual thing is so late 90's early 2000's. Men are more concerned about their appearance than ever before. They moisturize...is that Metro? These are comments from a man a little too preoccupied with those of his own gender.
The whole tight pant thing goes back to the late 50's early 60's....ever see Jimmy Fallon's comedic sketch of "tight pants?" Can anyone say Jersey Boys?
Socks? If there was one single thing in that talk that was blatantly wrong with no, absolutely no basis, it was a bashing of socks! That single comment really proved that this guy, a member of the GB no less, is absolutely so self-absorbed and clueless that it is mind-boggling! Does that mean I can't wear my kilt because my socks are my family's tartan color scheme? If a "spiritual man" is a man that scrutinizes every little thing, even to the point of condemning someone's socks....then the cultlike nature of this ORG is becoming more defined. I can't wait for the November 2015 article, "Boxers or Briefs? The Biblical view of girding up your loins"
As for the SPANXX comment.....absurd! Probably be some legal repercussions with that one!
If those are the things that consume the mind of the spiritual man....frivolous and innane, then this GB will destroy this ORG....they need no help from anyone to do that!

Separation of Powers
Please remember.....EVERY announcement is a test of faith.
"Brothers, book study group #4 has cleaning tonight." (Brother conductor of Book Study Group #4's faith is tested as he wonders whether he and his wife will be the ONLY ones cleaning the urinals.)

A Blessing Beyond Measure (15 min)
Malachi 3:10- blessed beyond measure
In order to enjoy the blessings of Jehovah one must recognize the blessings he has received from Jehovah.
Help audience to recognize that they are living in exciting, yet critical times.
Paul spoke of an "equalizing" ( 1 Cor 16:2). Surplus of those countries experiencing financial prosperity should help to sustain kingdom interests in less fortunate countries.
The "storehouses" mentioned in Malachi evidently refer to this financial distinction, particularly notable in the time of the end.
Faithful servants are admonished to bring in the "tenth parts." How does this apply to Jehovahs modern day organization?
A certain measure of grain or resource given to sustain the theocratic arrangement. Recognized prior to the Mosaic law as approved by God's channel. Abraham willingly gave of his surplus to support and bless the High Priest Melchizedek. (Read Genesis 14:20) He exercised faith in and appreciation for God's chosen one and was blessed.
To enjoy future blessings, God's people must be willing to support his interests (Matthew 6:10).
Please read as introduction to following part in symposium:
Now, Brother ___________________ will consider the following theme, "The Ransom, a Principle of Tithing from the Foundation of the World"

Separation of Powers
Mentally I am out. I am waiting for the shoe to drop so that I can leave without it affecting my family. That won't be too far off based on all the foolishness that is touted as truth. Sooner or later, they will state something or demand something that will be so inconceivable to the average JW with half a brain that will allow me to move on without recourse.

When did you start getting ANGRY?
by Separation of Powers inwhen i started the fade....i recognize that i was upset, mainly because of the desillusionment.
but, over the course of the past several months, i am noticing an increasing anger toward all thing org.
it can only be described as indignation, not simply upset.

I can really sympathize with your comment regarding your Aunt. I, too, have had family that I have marginalized due to my affiliation with the ORG only to see them now and how many of them still regard me as family. Your Aunt loved you as FAMILY. That is why she asked to see you. My Aunt did the same before she passed, she just wanted to see me cause she loved me for me, and must have realized that I was just really screwed up with the ORG crap. I am glad you got to see her before she passed. Don't be too hard on yourself, I am sure she saw through all that ORG malarkey to the person you are within.

Why the WTBTS is liable for Sex Abuse Cases
by Coded Logic inthe problem isn't just that kids are getting raped by people in their congregation.
the problem's also that anytime someone has "serrious charges" brought against them the elders add notes to that jws publisher file.
and, if the elders don't take the matter to the police or, as is often the case, tell the victims families not to take it to the police either, this establishes a level of accountability.. take daniel fitzwater for example.

Separation of Powers
The Paedophile issue is my single biggest gripe and has been since long before I faded. I heard something the other day that really solidified the issue for me. Penn State had their whole issue with paedophile problem, one commentator condemn Penn State for not addressing the problem even though they knew it existed. He said one of the most profound things I have ever heard and it relates directly to the ORG's mentality. He said, "Penn State was more concerned about the BRAND Penn State then the innocent victim."
Penn State has always been considered an illustrious university with an illustrious sports program. When those things become more important than the victim, you have a serious problem with your moral compass. Well, what about the ORG? What's wrong with THAT moral compass?
